Nestled amidst the beautiful Western Ghats, Attappady has long faced challenges in accessing timely and specialised healthcare services. Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Hospital was established to bridge this gap and ensure that quality healthcare reaches even the most remote communities.
Today, the hospital serves as an important healthcare destination for residents of Attappady, Mannarkkad and surrounding areas of Kerala and Tamil Nadu like Anaikkatti, Thadagam, Sreekrishnapuram , Pattambi etc.
Over the years, we have grown into a comprehensive healthcare institution offering modern diagnostics, emergency care, maternal and child health services, critical care support, surgical services, and specialty consultations under one roof.
Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Hospital was started in 2006 by Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Trust in Agali as a 10 bedded hospital. The hospital was inaugurated on 5th June 2006. The hospital was built fully with public donations. When the hospital was started, the objective was to provide primary health care services. Later, several facilities and speciality services were added one by one at the hospital with the help of donations and CSR grants from many corporate institutions. Now the hospital is 50 bedded with several modern diagnostic and treatment facilities. The hospital has many senior specialist doctors providing high-quality medical care.
